Hose testing and asset management are essential to ensure safety, compliance and operational efficiency with your fluid transfer system. At Pacific Hoseflex, we’ve created a comprehensive Asset (Hose) Management System that works to enhance traceability and streamline the management of your hose assemblies. This system is backed by our extensive range of testing services, all provided at the highest industry standards.
Asset (Hose) Management System: Setting standards for traceability
When you think of the cornerstone of effective asset management, traceability is at the forefront. Pacific Hoseflex’s Asset (Hose) Management System gives you complete visibility over your hose assemblies and is flexible, fully customisable and adapts to your operational requirements.
Key features:
- Cross-platform compatibility: Access the system on iPads, tablets, iPhones, laptops, and desktops. The user-friendly interface is compatible with all major web browsers.
- Secure customer portal: Existing customers can access a 24-hour view-only portal with a unique login. New customers can set up access by contacting our team.
- Comprehensive reporting: From certification and tagging to test schedules and maintenance reminders, the system delivers detailed reports to keep you informed.
- Customised data management: Attach certification documents, photos, and other relevant files to specific hose assemblies for easy retrieval
The database, which is hosted on our secure servers, is managed to ensure accuracy and reliability at all times. Key information such as test dates, recall schedules, maintenance plans, and hose conditions are readily available, reducing downtime and boosting operational efficiency.
Precise and reliable hose testing services
Have you explored Pacific Hoseflex’s in-house and onsite hose testing services? We’re here to ensure the quality, safety and compliance of your hose assemblies, with certified technicians who use calibrated equipment that meets the stringent requirements of ISO 9001:2015. We offer:
Pneumatic Testing
Using non-flammable gases such as compressed air, nitrogen, or helium, we perform pneumatic tests to detect microscopic cracks and defects in pressure systems. This method is perfect for systems that cannot be tested with water or where water residue is undesirable.
Hydrostatic Testing
Hydrostatic testing involves pumping pressurised water into a system to detect leaks, cracks, or weaknesses. This test evaluates the structural integrity of pipes, hoses, valves, and other components to ensure they meet the standards of AS4037 and ISO1402.
Penetrant Testing
A low-cost, non-destructive method, penetrant testing identifies hairline cracks, leaks, and surface porosity on materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, and aerospace components. This process is conducted to AS2062 standards.
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
For ferromagnetic materials, MT detects surface and subsurface defects using magnetic flux. The process highlights cracks or discontinuities with visible iron particles, making flaws easy to detect.
Radiographic Testing (RT)
RT allows us to evaluate the internal integrity of welds and components without causing damage. Using radiographic imaging, we can identify porosity, inclusions, and cracks to AS4041 standards.
Continuity Testing
This test measures electrical resistance across a system, ensuring circuits are open or closed as required. It is particularly useful in systems requiring precise electrical conductivity.
Holiday (Spark) Testing
Holiday testing checks coatings for pinholes or defects, ensuring protective layers are intact. Conducted to AS3894.1-2002/NACE RP0274-9 standards, it is vital for corrosion prevention.
Third-Party Testing
We collaborate with industry leaders such as NATA, DNV, and Lloyd’s Register to provide third-party testing services. These partnerships enhance trust and compliance in critical applications.
NATA Accreditation
Did you know that Pacific Hoseflex’s testing services are accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)? What does this mean for you? Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 ensures the reliability of our test results and supports the acceptance of our work globally. This will give you confidence in our products and services, facilitating international trade and strengthening our reputation as a leader in fluid transfer solutions.
Certified testing technicians: Expertise you can trust
All testing at Pacific Hoseflex is completed by our experienced, certified technicians. Our team includes:
- Level 2 Certified Technicians for standard testing.
- Level 3 and NATA Testing Experts, available on request for advanced projects.
Our technicians are trained and equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety and compliance during every stage of testing.
What are the benefits of asset management and testing
- Safety: Early detection of defects reduces the risk of failures that could lead to accidents.
- Compliance assurance: Meeting industry standards ensures operational integrity and avoids regulatory penalties.
- Reduced downtime: Scheduled maintenance and proactive testing minimise unexpected disruptions.
- Cost savings: Regular testing extends the lifespan of hoses and reduces the need for replacements.
