Project Overview
Steel smelters rely on high-temperature oxygen lance systems to refine molten metal efficiently and safely. These systems require hose assemblies capable of withstanding extreme temperatures, high pressure, and mechanical stress during operation. Pacific Hoseflex was engaged to design and manufacture Vitalflex® stainless steel metallic hoses specifically engineered for oxygen lance applications in a major steel production facility.
Our Scope
Pacific Hoseflex supplied 250mm and 350mm nominal bore Vitalflex® stainless steel metallic hoses purpose-built for the client’s oxygen lance system. These assemblies were designed to deliver high performance and long-term durability under harsh operating conditions.
Vitalflex® Metallic Hose Assemblies
Each hose is constructed from convoluted 304 stainless steel on the inner core with a tightly woven, closed-pitch 304 stainless steel braid on the outer layer, providing exceptional strength and flexibility.
All welding and fabrication work was carried out in compliance with ASME IX and AS 4041 standards, ensuring the highest levels of quality and safety.
